Aetna

If you have Aetna insurance, we can check your benefits for you. Simply reach out and fill out the form below and we will follow up with the details.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If you have out-of-network benefits, we can verify them for you. Fill out the form by selecting the ‘Use Your Insurance’ button, and we will contact you with the results.

For clients with out-of-network coverage, you will need to pay the full session cost upfront. We will submit superbills for each session to help facilitate your reimbursement.

Out-of-Pocket

If you prefer not to use insurance or don’t have coverage, we offer the option to pay out-of-pocket for sessions. This option allows for more privacy and flexibility, as you won’t need to submit any claims or share treatment details with your insurance provider.

Our standard rate for a 50-minute session is $250 (sliding scale options below). If you choose to pay out-of-pocket, you will pay at the time of your session.

We strive to offer fair and accessible mental health care while maintaining a sustainable practice. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out. We’re happy to help!

We believe therapy should be accessible to as many people as possible, which is why we offer an honor-based sliding scale for clients without in-network or out-of-network benefits, or those requiring financial accommodations.

You don’t need to provide financial documents—we trust you to choose a fair rate based on your circumstances. Your income is a great starting point, but we also encourage you to consider factors like family obligations, medical costs, and other financial responsibilities.

Honoring our honor system

We know everyone’s financial situation is different. Here are some things to consider when choosing a fair rate for therapy.

Consider paying less if you:

  • Are supporting children or other dependents

  • Have significant debt that is not to the DOE

  • Have medical expenses not covered by insurance

  • Receive public assistance

  • Have immigration-related expenses

  • Are an elder with limited financial support

Consider paying more if you:

  • Own the home you live in

  • Have investments, retirement accounts or inherited money

  • Have access to family money and resources in times of need

  • Work part time by choice

  • Have a relatively high degree of earning power due to level of education (or gender and racial privilege, class background, etc.).
